![]() The big ones for music notation are Finale, Sibelius, and Dorico, and for drill there are PyWare and EnVision. Of course, if the price of the software isn't an issue, there are a few solid options for both drill and music that will be very powerful software. If you don't want to use software at all for drill, you can also download some blank drill charts and handwrite! If you're on Windows, there may be cheap/free drill writing software, but I am less familiar with the options there.ĮDIT: It seems that there is another drill writing option, VDrill, that is less expensive and runs on both Mac and Windows. If you're on a Mac, there is a nice piece of software called Drill that has a free demo and isn't very expensive to upgrade. Now for actual software: If you're looking for something cheap, MuseScore (free) is the best option for notation that I've come across, but drill writing depends on what platform you use. It's simple and doesn't have the same functionality you would get with professional software, but it works well for modeling drill moves, plus you can see hundreds of shows created by other users. EDIT: One thing I've played around with to explore show ideas is Micro Marching, an online "game" where you can design drill.
